Sushi Masterclass

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sushi rice
  • 4 sheets of nori seaweed
  • Fresh sashimi-grade fish (e.g., tuna, salmon)
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 avocado
  • Soy sauce
  • Wasabi
  • Pickled ginger

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sushi rice by washing and cooking it according to the package instructions.
  2. Place a bamboo sushi rolling mat on a clean surface and put a sheet of plastic wrap on top.
  3. Place a sheet of nori on the plastic wrap, wet your hands, and spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori.
  4. Add thin strips of fish, cucumber, and avocado on top of the rice.
  5. Roll the sushi tightly using the bamboo mat, sealing the edge with a bit of water.
  6. Using a sharp knife, slice the sushi roll into bite-sized pieces.
  7. Serve with soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger.
